My plant has passed away. I need to name something new in my kitchen Oprah. Henceforth, calling my knife Oprah, she won't leave me.

I bought Salt, Fat, Heat, and Acid. It has been really helpful in evaluating what is important in the kitchen and my favorite part is that it isn't recipes. It is more about what to think about when cooking. Highly recommend!

She died

Sad day, but I think the basil plant called Oprah died. Pretty sure it was infected with bugs, and it looked really sick, so we put it out of it's misery. Stay tuned. I'll replace her.

Well today was an amazing day. I started my day with an omelet. It was pretty tasty. I am trying to not drink any coffee this year, and today was hard to to indulge. For lunch I had a salad and a small sandwich, meh.

I guess my late lunch was my dinner, so pretty boring.
